Cutting and Shaving

Saturdays, everyone loves them! i dont!

1. Where do you find software engineers on a saturday?
  •      In the local Saloon, over crowding it. Just like they do on the roads! overcrowd them with their big cars, riding solo!
2. What happens when the car fellow coming in the opposite direction stops and gives you the right to pass?
  •    the guy coming beside him decides to be a little too smart and comes straight into your vehicle!

Karmic Potholes

“Swept by throngs swelling around me
Peopled with kings and commoner
Reined in by the invisible yokes of reason
And the warm tyranny of the familiar

Opened my eyes again”

F***!!!! THUD!!!

This is what would happen when you ride behind a bus or a car and see a huge pothole in the middle of the road, In Bangalore!!!

Happily I was riding the bike, listening to Karmic Steps by Motherjane when this happened!

Reminded me of reading an article in today’s Bangalore Mirror on the number of Pothole’s in Bangalore – 11000

Ha!!!! That is not kidding!!! That is what I call Bullshitting!!!

The number of pothole’s on the very famous Bannerghatta Road , that would total around atleast 100 [ easily]

And 11000 potholes in the entirety of Bangalore has to be plain old bullshitting!

Perhaps the only road in Bangalore where no potholes would be is near the BBMP chief’s residence! That is a sight that no other road or locality would have. Neat sidewalks, benches, parks, streetlights, trees, well asphalted roads!

Hmmm, may be the BBMP chief has to be transferred to every area in and around Bangalore for a brief period of time and perhaps that place would improve too!

Until then,

“I hold the thought and walk off my pier
With hands outstretched to grasp the other
And I’m on feet that are yearning to rediscover
The feel of karmic steps craved on water…”

The i-fee-el

After watching the 2011 IPL, here’s the recipe to “winning it” -
Prepare mud bowls, hope you are lucky enough, win toss and bat! Make sure your last few games are in Chennai- get big shots BCC"ians" in the management, who can alter pitches- no wait, suggest changes in away games.

And lo behold, the trophy is yours!

P.S., adding L Sivawhateverkrishnan and Mbangwa [alphabets arranged in a haphazard fashion] in the commentary team! They also do half the job- of spoiling a perfect game with, bizarre and horrible commentary! [and may be if you are lucky, probably they'd convince you to throw the remote at the TV]
